GCAM-LAC

Global Change Analysis Model for Latin America and the Caribbean (GCAM-LAC)  is a branch of the publicly available ‘release version’ of GCAM v5.3 (https://github.com/JGCRI/gcam-core/tree/gcam-v5.3). GCAM-LAC includes several additional input files that improve the fidelity of EWL projections for the LAC region. While GCAM 5.3 includes 32 geopolitical regions (including Argentina and Colombia), GCAM-LAC also breaks out Uruguay as a separate region for a total of 33 regions represented. GCAM-LAC includes improved regional EWL reference scenarios for Argentina, Colombia, and Uruguay.

Metis

Metis provides a framework allowing analysis of dynamics across multiple sectors including water, energy, land and socio-economics at various spatial and temporal scales. It is designed to be a flexible tool which can take inputs from both global integrated assessment models (IAMs) which capture global dynamics as well as more detailed models which can capture specific sub-regional and sectoral details at finer resolutions. Metis integrates across tools by sharing data in standardized formats.

Plutus

Plutus post-processes outputs from the Global Change Analysis Model (GCAM) to calculate the electricity investment costs and stranded asset costs associated with GCAM projections of future power sector energy generation by technology.
